    Step into a future where sufficiency feels abundant, inspiring, and actionable, and leave equipped to co-create urban lives that thrive on quality, rather than quantity.

    Most urban sustainability efforts focus on efficiency and technological fixes. This event offers a different perspective by exploring how cities can thrive within planetary boundaries while prioritizing quality of life over ever-increasing consumption. It brings together participants from across sectors to explore new pathways toward urban sustainability.  

    The evening will include: a guided tour of Empa's NEST innovation building a multistakeholder dialogue circle a hands-on future-making workshop a networking apéro. 

    The event is open to participants from all sectors, and no prior knowledge is required. It will be held in English.  

    The event is hosted by the Swiss Sufficiency Lab (external link), the Urban Energy Systems Laboratory (UESL) at Empa, and the Sustainability Innovation Lab at the University of St. Gallen.
