Joséphine von MITSCHKE-COLLANDE

Joséphine von MITSCHKE-COLLANDE is a sustainability and systems innovation expert with over 15 years of experience driving societal and socio-ecological transformation across philanthropy, policy, and research.

She leads the Sufficiency Theme at Stiftung Mercator Switzerland, where she oversees a portfolio of innovation initiatives exploring pathways to substantially reduce natural resource use while sustaining and enhancing human wellbeing.

Previously, she held leadership roles at EIT Climate-KIC, Europe's largest public-private climate innovation partnership, and led the Paradigm Shift programme at the research institute INNAXIS, managing European-funded sustainability initiatives grounded in complex systems thinking and systems theory.

She worked for the think tank Club of Rome and has worked with international organisations including the European Commission, the United Nations, and UNESCO.

Joséphine also teaches at the Sciences Po School of Public Affairs.
