The World Sufficiency Lab (WSL) is the global hub for sufficiency research, advocacy, and action.
Our mission is to make sufficiency the guiding principle in all policy and business decisions, to allow meeting human needs within ecological limits.
To advance this mission, WSL focuses on three core objectives:
- Closing the research gap: We identify, synthesize, and expand the scientific and practical knowledge needed to operationalize sufficiency across sectors and scales.
- Building a global community: We train and support sufficiency ambassadors, practitioners, researchers, and policymakers who champion sufficiency in their regions and fields.
- Driving policy transformation: We work with institutions, governments, and civil society to design and implement sufficiency-based policies that prioritize fairness, resilience, and planetary boundaries.
