Mads DAHL GJEFSEN is a Senior Researcher at NTNU Social Research in Trondheim, Norway. He holds a Ph.D. in Science and Technology Studies (STS) and currently investigates technological promises and their cultural political economy dynamics, particularly in relation to growth and growth dependencies. His ongoing research projects focus on food, energy, digital, and water/wastewater infrastructures. He is the Principal Investigator of Limits to Digitalization: Exploring the Transition Challenges of Norwegian Data Centers (Research Council of Norway award 344115, 2023-2027), a project that aims to develop a sufficiency framework for data centers, informed by multi-level qualitative studies at community, national, and global scales.
